Alumni
Become a Mentor
The SPS and Sigma Pi Sigma Alumni Engagement Program provides the opportunity for alumni to engage with current undergraduates and stay connected to the physical sciences, regardless of their career journey. By signing up, you’re welcoming current SPS and Sigma Pi Sigma undergraduates to contact you for speaking roles, networking, mentorship, and other professional development events. If you can’t set aside too much time, offer to participate virtually! This program is a fantastic way to stay involved and support the current future generations of physical scientists.
Share Your Story
Did you get your undergraduate degree in physics or astronomy, but decide to pursue a different career? You’d be a great feature in our Hidden Physicist section of the Sigma Pi Sigma publication, Radiations. Everyone who joins Sigma Pi Sigma is a physicist for life, and we want to celebrate all of you! Submit your story now to be considered for publication.
Support the Next Generation
If you want to help support the next generation of physical scientists, but don’t have the time or resources to volunteer, consider making a small donation to the Alumni Engagement and Sigma Pi Sigma Fund. This fund supports career development vis networking between students and alumni, alumni-driven events like the Alumni Engagement Conference, and virtual career colloquia offering guidance on diverse career paths. Your donation supports lifelong connections to the physical sciences for SPS alumni and Sigma Pi Sigma members, strengthening our community of physical scientists and fostering collaboration across all career stages.
