About the Recipient
Zone and Chapter: Grove City College
I am a senior Physics Secondary Education major at Grove City College. I have been involved in our chapter of SPS since my freshman year and served as an Outreach Coordinator for the past two years. I helped organize our annual outreach event for local elementary and middle school students, and it was so much fun! I have participated in Physics Education Research both at Grove City and as part of an REU at the University of Washington. I presented my research from my REU at both PhysCon in 2016 and the AAPT Winter Meeting in 2017. This fall I am student teaching at a local high school. After graduating, I plan to teach physics at the high school level.
