About the Recipient

Zone and Chapter: Augustana College

I am going into my junior year at Augustana College. I am a physics education major, and I plan to teach in schools of need in Illinois after I graduate. I have been involved in Augustana Physics and Engineering Society since freshman year, I was the treasurer last year, and now I am the Vice President. With my group, I help coordinate our Spring Into Physics Program at a local elementary school, where we did fun experiments and demos with the students to get them to see how exciting physics can be and how it is used in the world around us! After graduation, I plan to teach physics at the high school level!
