About the Recipient
Zone and Chapter: Texas Lutheran University
I am a junior at Texas Lutheran University in Seguin, TX and am majoring in Applied Physics and minoring in Mathematics. I have been involved with SPS since my freshman year. This past year I served on an Advisory Council that assisted the officers in planning and decision making. This upcoming academic year I will be serving as the President. SPS has given me multiple opportunities and I cannot wait to give back to this organization. I love to be involved with the outreach we do as a group and am excited to continue sharing my knowledge of physics. I have been involved with research since the summer after my freshman year where I conducted research at my university. Currently I am participating in an REU program at the Texas A&M University Cyclotron Institute. I plan to pursue graduate school for nuclear physics after completing my bachelor’s degree.
