About the Recipient
Zone and Chapter: Coe College
I am entering my senior year at Coe College, where I will obtain majors in physics and computer science and a mathematics minor. My research interests include space physics and cosmology. In my time at Coe, I have researched the Martian ionosphere under Dr. Firdevs Duru. Specifically, I have studied depletions in electron density in the ionosphere, as well as variations in the photoelectron boundary at Mars. I helped found the Astronomy & Astrophysics Club at Coe, for which I currently serve as Outreach Coordinator. After graduation, I plan to obtain a Ph.D in astrophysics and continue my career in research.
