About the Recipient

Zone and Chapter: University of Wisconsin-River Falls

My name is Chloe Heifner and I am entering my final year at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where I am majoring both in Physics and Secondary Physics Education. On campus, I work as a physics tutor, a learning assistant (similar to a T.A.), and as a research intern. I have been involved with my SPS chapter since I was a freshman. I am an active participant in volunteer and community outreach opportunities, as I believe it is always a great experience sharing the wonders of physics with others! This past year, I served as the Vice President of my SPS Chapter. My plan for the future is to be a physics teacher! It was my own high school physics teacher who inspired me to pursue a career in physics. I hope to be a role model to other students and inspire them to pursue physics the same way my teacher did for me.
