About the Recipient
Zone and Chapter: Juniata College
I am a junior studying physics and mathematics at Juniata College. I became involved in Juniata’s SPS chapter and our sister club, Women in Physics, my freshman year and next year will be serving as secretary and treasurer, respectively. I also am heavily involved in the community outreach programs of both clubs. This summer I’m participating in NFUSS being hosted at WSU. Outside of physics I am involved in Juniata’s LGBT club Spectrum and this past year helped organize the Pennsylvania Youth Action Conference, a conference for rural LGBT youth, hosted at Juniata. I hope to attend graduate school studying physics and eventually teach at the collegiate level.
