My name is Levi Hancock, and I am a senior physics major at Brigham Young University with minors in mathematics and computer science. I have conducted research at several national laboratories, including Los Alamos National Lab, the Air Force Research Laboratory, and most recently at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC). At SLAC, I working on imaging fusion-relevant materials using ptychography and tomography with data from a free electron laser, work that will culminate in a forthcoming publication. I previously served as President of the BYU Society of Physics Students, leading outreach efforts that earned both the SPS Outstanding Chapter Award and a Future Faces of Physics grant. In addition, I perform and serve as President of BYU’s International Folk Dance Club. After completing my undergraduate degree, I plan to pursue a PhD in Physics, focusing on fusion energy research.
