About the Recipient
Zone and Chapter: Northeastern University, Zone 1
I am a fourth year mathematics and applied physics double major looking to pursue a career as an astrophysics researcher. I work on various research projects related to geometric deep learning and optical modeling with JWST. Specifically, some of my projects have dealt with equivariant neural networks for emulating astrophysical signals and Point-spread function characterisation for the James Webb Space Telescope Near Infrared Camera. I work closely with the Northeastern Cosmology Group and the Geometric Learning Lab. This summer I’ll be continuing my work as a visiting scientist at the center for astrophysics Harvard and Smithsonian with the AstroAI group. I’ve been involved in SPS throughout my undergraduate studies, which has given me an opportunity to share my passion for research with the broader physics community at Northeastern. Outside of physics I enjoy ice skating, reading manga, and riding my bike. I also firmly believe in aliens :).
