Project Description: The University of the Sciences’ chapter of the Society of Physics Students has had three main outreach events in this past academic year, with two more planned in April. The three events that already occurred are a large presentation on an assortment of physics topics at University of the Sciences Fall Fest, a gravitational wave presentation given in the McNeil Science and Technology Center and a star party featuring a nine inch reflecting telescope on the University of the Sciences campus quadrangle. These events focused on promoting interest in Physics at University of the Sciences. The two upcoming events are meant to generate interests in physics in the Philadelphia community. Planned for April twenty first is a series of physics demonstration to be given at West Catholic High School. The other planned event is hosting a booth at the Philadelphia Science Festival on The Magic of Physics.
