About the Recipient

Dr. Jon Levin is a Professor of Physics at the University of Tennessee - Knoxville. He has been the Zone 8 Councilor since 2010, and the Director of the Undergraduate Physics Program at UTK since 2000. He received his BA in Economics from Stanford University and his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Oregon. His research is focused on the interactions between single atoms and x-rays.
