Dr. Cristina Torres was an Assistant Research Professor at the University of Texas-Brownsville (now the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley). She received her BS from UT Brownsville and her Ph.D. from the University of Texas, Dallas. Her research interests included remote sensing, imaging, applied physics, gravitational wave data analysis, information education research, and high performance computing application development.
