About the Recipient
Zone and Chapter: Cornell University, Zone 2
Abra is a rising senior at Cornell University studying physics and math. Abra joined the Cornell SPS leadership team in her freshman year and has since held the roles of Women in Physics Chair, Vice President, and President. Some of her notable contributions to her SPS chapter are spearheading an outreach program for local fifth graders and working on a project to highlight the diversity of careers and identities in physics under the mentorship of Professor Natasha Holmes. After completing her undergraduate education, she plans to obtain a PhD focused on gravitational astrophysics and pursue a career focused on related research. In her free time, Abra enjoys teaching dance and dancing herself.
