Your Physics and Astronomy Congress Packing List

Deciding what to pack for a weekend as diverse and exciting as the 2025 Physics and Astronomy Congress can be a challenge! But don’t worry—we’re here to help streamline the packing process and make sure you’ll have everything you need!

Carry-on or Backpack:

• Poster or artwork, if you’re presenting (make sure they’re packed safely!)
• Anything important! Medication, EpiPen, flight details, identification, wallet, etc.
• Phone and phone charger
• Pens and notepad
• Computer, charger, and schoolwork (if you couldn’t get an extension!)
• Business cards, if you have them
• Personal items like headphones, camera, and hand sanitizer
• Face masks (if desired)

Suitcase:

• Toiletries
• Good walking shoes and appropriate clothes for exploring the city and tours
• Business casual outfit for presenting your poster or artwork
• Smart casual attire for the days you’re not presenting
• Pajamas
• Jacket (Denver temperatures can range the 30s to the 60s at this time of year)
• Halloween costume for the end-of-Congress dance party and costume contest
• Your SPS chapter tees, SPS or Sigma Pi Sigma pins, and other nerdy gear
• Goodies (like stickers, candy, or pins) and demos for the SPS Chapter Showcase
• Extra space for swag from the Expo Hall, Denver souvenirs, or new SPS merch!
