On the Determination of the Equivalent Spring Constant for a Single-Degree-of-Freedom Vibrating System

Abstract: We present various approaches, including force and energy methods, for determining the equivalent spring constant of a single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) oscillating system with multiple springs. In the given scenario, the displacement of one of the system’s springs is influenced by the movement of both ends of the spring, making the problem more complex.
