About

Hi! I’m Kazi Uzayr Razin, a mechanical engineering student at Augustana College with a strong passion for interdisciplinary collaboration and real-world problem solving. I serve as the Associate Zone Councilor (AZC) for SPS Zone 9, now in my second year after being re-elected to the role. I also currently serve as the Engineering Czar of the Augustana Physics and Engineering Society (APES), our chapter of SPS, where I’ve been actively involved since my freshman year. In the past, I’ve held other leadership positions within APES, including President and Head of Outreach.

Last year, I completed a research project under the mentorship of an environmental engineering professor at Augustana, where I successfully replicated the PlanktoScope, a modular, open-source imaging instrument used to study natural micro-plankton communities.

Currently, I’m working as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at HDR, where I’m part of a design team involved in a mission critical environment on a hyper-scale, multi-megawatt data center projects.
