Apply for a Chapter Travel Award

Chapters who commit to bringing three or more students to the 2025 Physics and Astronomy Congress may apply for a travel award to cover the cost of a hotel room. In addition, a limited number of individual travel awards are available to cover registration fees for students attending without anyone else from their school.

Awards are available on a first come, first serve basis.

Terms

All award recipients are required to present a poster or piece of art during the 2025 Physics and Astronomy Congress and submit a 500-1000 word article on an assigned topic following the congress.

Chapter applicants: You must register at least 3 students for the congress within a month of your application being approved. If you do not register in time, your room will be forfeited unless an exception is granted by the SPS National Office.

Individual applicants: You must be the only person from your chapter attending the congress.
