AAPT/SPS Science Outreach Catalyst Kit Intern

Are you passionate about sharing physics with the next generation? Do you like developing fun and educational science activities? SPS Science Outreach Catalyst Kits
In addition, the AAPT/SPS Intern will collaborate closely with the AAPT K–12 Program Manager and education team to support teacher-focused professional development programs and resources. This may include assisting with workshops, reviewing classroom materials, supporting national meeting sessions, and developing outreach content that connects physics teachers and students. The AAPT Intern will also have opportunities to network with educators and contribute to AAPT’s mission of enhancing physics education at all levels.
Together, these internship experiences offer a unique chance to impact both students and teachers—from inspiring future scientists to supporting those who teach them.
Qualifications:
- Interest in public outreach and education
- Experience in outreach or education with K-12 students
- Ability to effectively communicate scientific topics to non-scientists
- Excellent writing skills
- Experience with science outreach or education preferred
