About
Hello! My name is Miranda Menousek and I am a sophomore studying engineering physics at William Jewell College in Liberty, MO. I am also a member of the Women’s Lacrosse team. When I got to college, I quickly realized my passion and desire to learn and apply in the physics discipline. I strive to be a critical thinker and a hard worker to always put my best efforts into all I do. I aspire to go onto graduate school to study medical physics after obtaining my bachelor’s degree.
During my freshman year I was awarded the C.D. Geilker Award for outstanding performance in the general physics course, made the 2026 Spring Dean’s List, and earned the 2026 GLVC James R. Spalding Sportsmanship award within my lacrosse conference.
I joined SPS this past year and have been an active member in William Jewell’s chapter by helping organize events, assisting in a children’s science day, and finding relevant physics topics to discuss weekly with other chapter members. I am excited for the future of SPS and to help create more opportunities and a community for my school and zone 12!
