James Burrell

James Burrell serves as the Program Administrator for the Society of Physics Students (SPS) and Sigma Pi Sigma, where he plays an essential role in steering the day-to-day operations. As the connective force across teams, systems, and stakeholders, James leads core operational functions by facilitating Sigma Pi Sigma inductions, overseeing financial processes, driving cross-team collaboration, and executing key events and meetings.

James brings experience in program coordination, nonprofit management, and project management, with strengths in systems thinking and event planning. Before joining AIP, he served as a Program Coordinator at Pyxera Global, supporting international partnerships among Fortune 500 companies and social sector organizations. Grounded in his early studies in physics and later academic work in government at George Mason University, James is passionate about empowering students in the physical sciences to grow, lead, and ultimately drive meaningful change in the world.
