About

In 2015, I spent my summer as a Science Outreach Catalyst Kit (SOCK) intern for the Society of Physics Students. Co-designing outreach materials to teach Acoustics showed me how much I value interactive physics education and science communication, and those lessons have motivated my physics work ever since! After spending a year teaching English in Austria through the Fulbright program, I am now a graduate student in music at the University of Oregon. I am still active in physics here at UO as a science outreach volunteer and teaching assistant for summer physics courses. I am a Sigma Pi Sigma alumna and have served in the AIP Education Advisory Resource Group. I am interested in joining the Alumni Engagement Program because I hope to offer advice or guidance for undergraduate women in physics as I best can, and communicate that a physics degree can lead to many different kinds of opportunities!
