Hana Dobrovolny
About
I received a B.Sc in physics and mathematics from University of Winnipeg. I then attended Bryn Mawr College for a Master’s degree in physics, studying electrical signals in leech nervous systems. This was followed by a Ph.D in physics from Duke University where I studied the propagation of electrical waves in the heart. I then returned to Canada to work as a postdoc at Ryerson University where I developed and analyzed mathematical models of influenza. During this period I also worked as an adjunct faculty at York University teaching their biophysics courses. In 2012, I earned my tenure-track appointment at Texas Christian University, where I teach and still do research in modeling of diseases.
