About
I am a physicist, an optical engineer, and computer scientist. Since graduating with my Ph.D., I’ve worked in many different areas! These include thermo-optic modeling of detonations, analyzing satellite imagery, modeling nuclear weapons, CAD model generation, scene modeling, and radar reflections from aircraft! I am a private pilot and SCUBA diver, and my interest in science are all over the map. I’ve volunteered at natural history museums, nursing homes, and SPS!

Job Sector: industry
Recent position: Computer Scientist, Sandia National Laboratories
Job Description: I analyze satellite images with many, many colors. The various colors help us separate the interesting from the mundane in photographs as a function of time. This is important for many reasons, including airplane tracking (safety), weather systems (environment), and large natural disasters (forest fires).
